| gus is my greyhound client i've benn walking and taking care of since mid august. he's super sweet and i just love the way he prances when we go out for our walk. his mom discovered a lump on friday that is on his ribcage behind his left front leg. they biopsied it and it's osteosarcoma. she declined treatment and is going with pain management when he shows signs of discomfort. it's very aggressive and the vet said he may live another two weeks to two months. so in the meantime...gus is his happy self and will continue with his walks for now. the only thing that will change is that he will get double the love and double the cookies when i see him!! |

Carlene, please let Gus and his family know that another Greyhound family is praying for them, especially Jamey, who is also fighting osteo. _________________ Tin, Michael, and "the zoo"

| gus has taken a sudden turn for the worse. his mom had to take him to the vet today because suddenly his left front got very lame. his cancer has spread to his leg. he's going to start tramadol for pain. if the pain meds don't help by the end of the week he going to have to be put down. i just can't believe how agressive this cancer is. i walked him all last week and he was such a happy boy and loved being out walking. he has a very graceful "prance". mom canceled his walks for the week but wanted to keep our regular schedule starting next monday in the hopes that the pains meds will be helpful. please keep gus and his mom erin in your thoughts and prayers. |

Carlene, I will definitely say a prayer for Gus and Erin. Knowing what this cancer does, things do not look good. If Erin does not know yet, tell her to be very careful of Gus' leg, so he has no chance to break it. (Remember that Jamey's leg was broken as the X-ray techs were turning him over. The bone will be very thin!)
Please let Erin know that we're praying for her and Gus. _________________ Tin, Michael, and "the zoo"
