| hershey lately has a new habit of eating dirt in the back yard. she bites through the grass and then bites and eats the dirt. not alot. i also found her eating the dirt in a flower pot. does anyone have a clue why she might be doing this? i once heard that when dogs eat things like this they are trying to get a vitamin or mineral they are lacking. don't know if there's any truth in that. thanks!! |

Rocky has gone through stages of eating the dirt out of my flower pots. The vet never has mentioned anything about it when i said he does it. _________________ Every boy should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let him have one. |

| I know they say that when you're pregnant if you feel like you want to eat dirt or clay its because you're lacking iron or something. Not sure about dogs. I guess its possible, especially if it's a new habit. |
